Nest #1

I have one that was given to me years ago.

Drawing it, I was conscious of the

skill and crafting that it takes to make a nest.

Actually and maybe metaphorically.

A bit of a departure, I started this last

week, when I was feeling like a fish out

of water.  I spent time looking at 

underwater photos, getting a sense of 

some of the details.

And another arrangement.

I like it when they pretty much 

make themselves.

I seem to be cutting out and drawing

in eyes lately.  Here are some rearranged.

Spring blues

Skating on the edge of winter, these shapes are

photographs of cut paper, metamorphosized by a few 

tweaks in photoshop.

I've been having a challenging time finding my way

 this week.  So today I just finally dropped

in to this easy sweet world

Change?  I guess the last allows me to see 

more clearly.

Something to wonder about,

in a daily way.

Another boundary experiment

If I open up,

cut through, 

take the risk,

that the whole

edifice 

will crumble,

what colors

reveal themselves?

what boundaries,

slenderized,

support me?

Playing with paper and time

These are all the same item from different 

perspectives.  And my not feeling up to 

much this week creates the boundary.

Or as I just typo-ed bounderart.

Change one thing

I'm not quite sure what this has to do 

with boundaries.  I tried to

create some today and nothing 

was working.  So I needed something

v e r y  s i m p l e.

This is such an interesting prompt! 

I decided on boundaries: one medium, one size card, simple shapes

Then I got stuck in ideas about how to photograph and arrange these.

There were so many great options!

 So I needed to create ANOTHER boundary: 

keep it simple, proceed with ease.

I like seeing how having boundaries helps!

  

Grateful for... flowers...in winter march...inside...

Today I went to the annual Smith College

bulb show, a shock of color, texture, warm

scented air. 

Feeling Goofy (Grateful for)

A person who knows what she wants

Thankful for the birds...and the color red.

Every time I catch sight of this cardinal 

waiting for some inner all clear to swoop

down to the feeder, I stop breathing for 

a moment.  His red is simply amazing 

among all the subtle shades of grey.

Even sometimes grateful for winter

  

                           

                               There is always something to be amazed by going on
                                                                  outdoors.
