You have a pond nearby? I love the sound of frogs. I don't know that I can see the eggs in the second photo - are they visible? I can almost hear the racket around the pond. I like the contrast between big toads, small eggs...and then HUGE sound. Can I come visit?!
The eggs are hard to see because you don't recognize them as eggs! (at least I didn't). They are the little black dots that look like undulating ribbons, and there are hundreds of them in this photo, which is a small part of a lovely small pond. I read that the male fertilizes them after the female spews them out.
