Steps and Shadows

I went to Hudson to look for shapes
and instead became fascinated 
with the all the staircases
 in the afternoon
  sun.

    i love the patterns made, but also the colors. and the surprise of going for one thing and finding something unexpected.

    the clarity of the shadows is wonderful. i particularly love the shadow on the stairs - one jagged line following the shape of the steps. Is this the shadow of the vertical part of a handrail or something else?
